Putting these two on the same level is a huge insult to Hemmingway

The First Shannara series was like foreplay.
The Scions of Shannara was like climax.
The Jerle Shannara series was like when you kicked the crack ho out of bed and made her go and get punch and pie.

the harry potter books are awesome
i have yet to meet someone who has read them with an open mind and not liked the books
hmmm... top 3 is hard
1) Harry Potter series
2) fearless series (ive been reading them since like.. 7th grade.. they only take me an hour- an hour and a half to read through.. but i donno.. i just like them )
3) Stephen King books... salem's lot, the stand, green mile, etc
4) WW2 books get to me too... Night, Caged, diary of Anne Frank, etc- there was one that i read.. cant remember the name of it, but it was from the opposite perspective, a really young teenager who was part of the nazi youth, with a lot of the propaganda, how little some of them knew and what it was like when they found out about the actual atrocities going on etc.. very interesting read
5) I havent read it in a while, but I liked Animal Farm a lot.. (more after i was finished than while actually reading it though)..
6) lord of the rings trilogy

No, just pointing out what a whelp you are. And how your juvenile exuberance about things I ate up and spit out, over 20 years ago, is un impressive.

it just occured to me that this thread veared off of the original topic of books and ended up in the murky swamps known as the cod-kbarr struggle.

Yea, because WoT is so long Jordan had time to do a half-assed job of stealing just about every fantasy/sci-fi gimmick ever writen.
