Installed so quick, until i started to download the patchs ???? WTF 1.5hrs of downloads on cable? And my cable is pretty good.
Man SOE can bite the big one. Almost time for bed and its stil 30 mins remaining

When i did log in, i was so lost... This isnt a game for some... I think this one for a new player is alittle to complex. I have a game card and the free month to figure it out. Lets see if it triggers any interest, if not it goes out the door.
Good thing i picked up a backup single player game.

It's not too hard, if you have a friend to give you a bunch of money it makes it a lot easier. Otherwise just go to the bazaar, buy some newbie armor a newbie pistol or what ever skill tree you're going to go up, and go kill newbie shit. You'll figure it out from there.
One other thing, don't be a f*g rebel.

That's too bad... on Test right now they have all these newbie tutorials per class being hashed out.. the feedback from them is they are really helpful to new players.

I was lost for a little while when I started playing. But there are some very nice people that play SWG that are more than happy to help you. Just look for people with HELPER by their name. Usually they'll give you some armor and misc other things.
I lucked out, I sold my lots to Banzeye and he paid me quite a bit for them. Not as much as I made when he quit and gave me his gens and I went into business for myself, but a lot to a newbie. I was able to buy good padded armor (which is good for a newbie, buy composite later on, have someone explain how to mitigate stats to you some time) nice pistol and people gave me crates of those weapon power up things.
Play on Nah's server and rent him your lots, you won't need them at first any way. Once/if ever you want to take up farming resources just stop paying him for use of your lots, it's a good cash cow if you can find a buyer. My char that's inactive has about 1mill radioactives in her inventory that I never sold before I stopped playing. When the space expansion comes out I'll be buying some starfighters, although I'd want to fly an x-wing not a homofag tie.

For some reason I have a huge erge to play this s****y game ATM haha.
I sure do wish TKA's/CH's wern't nerfed as hard, horribly(f****d up horribly, not horribly in the way of it being sad/sickining), and all at once, as they did. I would probably still be playing.

BH + Pistoleer + Smuggler is a good spec to do. Take all the good pistol skills from those 3 trees and you'll own with a Launcher Pistol.
Before I quit playing I was enjoying my light lightning cannon not as good as a Commando, but better than most.

I wanted to make a Master Commando/Master Medic or a Master Pikeman/Master Doctor, but now that jedi's are out its pointless to choose what you wanna be unless you wanna be behind. One reason I don't think id start up after the new expansion.

If you want to own it's BH pistol 4 commando flame 4 smuggler pistol 4 then 1 box of pistoleer or whatever points you have left over. I dunno what shape the BH pistols are in now but I had a 450 dmg 1.5 delay one and just completely owned everyone.

LOL get up early to go over my character, started the newbie walk around thing. Announcement "Servers will be coming down in 15 mins"
I thought come back to my WTH post and remember the days of EQ "Servers will be coming down in 5 mins" please find a nice place to camp.

Well it took awhile, i have my guy moving up very fast. Been making a few friends in the game. They do come and help exp with you.
I decided to go rebels, because the Imps on the server are afk freaks, or dont credit you being there. Totally different attitude then EQ.
I havent seen any PVP, because i am not high enough. I should be getting into a guild soon on tempest. Its a big game Much easier then EQ in many ways. The skills trees i find very good, and the abilities grow with you.
For those whom just start the game. Give it about 1 week, ask questions and do missions till you gather your wereabouts. Its not an easy game. The hud can be changes to EQ style, but it does take some modifications to make it easier for you.
Helpers do help, they gather exps from helping you or they cant master the arts. Ask around you will see what i mean.
Otherwise not a bad game.

It's not a boring game until you get bored senseless by it. You can either try to become a Jedi which takes mastering almost every profession. You need to master 4 certain professions to unlock your FS slot. You can get 3 holocrons that will tell you what 3 of them are. The 4th will stay silent and the last profession is a mystery, which is why it can take mastering them all before you manage to master the 4 you need.
Or you can just become what you want to be, stay there and do the same thing over and over and over. You can buy all the best stuff so theres no "raids" where you get new loot like EQ. Although killing Kryat dragons is fun and other high lvl encounters can be fun, but eventually it'll get boring.
My account is sitting on inactive atm... do they wipe chars after a certain amount of time like EQ? I'm waiting on the space expansion before playing again. Hopefully it'll be fun and real time combat that depends on skill and "twitch"

true nah. they didnt on eq... they just threaten you.
Also SWG reminds me of a text base program. Its almost like a database running in the background recording all the crap you do in the game.
If they deleted characters it would only be to free up space somewhere. Not because they are getting more players. I dont think it will ever happen. It appears to have its growth already finished. Now we are seeing the big jedi's bailing out.
Cant blame them, with WOW, Vanguard, EQ2 coming out and other game why would anyone want to stick to one for 5 years again like i did.
I noticed EQ going nuts with the box sets that came out for 39.99. I dont think SWG will get a spurt of growth like that.
