I just broke my hand but still wanna go to the gym.. I'm goin in like 5 cuz i don't give a f**k right now but I'm sure it won't be good for me... anyone got any tips or stuff I can use to build upper body w/ a broken hand? There's no f*****g way I'm staying out of the gym for 3-6 weeks or w/e the doctor said.

I'm not sure what theyre called, but maybe use those things that you push together with your arms. Theres two padded bars and they start at your sides and you bring them forwards. Thats the only machine I could think of for upper body that wouldnt require your hand.

6 months ??? nah, Just wait until your hand is better. I would use dumbells though.. But ya , Try to work on your abs and lower body instead of your upper body since you have a broken hand . You can also try 1 hand push ups.

why do you work out? seriously?

To have a healthy body, or to be doing it so you can be cool?

If you were doing it for your body, you wouldnt be acting like a fuckup and risking hurting your body for good.

If you were doing it to be cool, just get a cast, castsare cool.

Well, if your gonna go use your hand when its broke to lift, then tie your short bus to a rope and pull it to you like they do in the worlds strongest man competitions.

If your being sensable you can prob use a nautilus type machine and bypass using your hand and maybe use your forearm with less weight to do curls and such. Probably be a pain to do , but won't hurt you hand and much easier to compensate then free weights.

I really don't recommend you work out with a broken hand but if you do work out your lower body.. But since you wanna work out your upper body, do what I said above.

You can do some leg work, pect-deck(butterflies) for chest, run for cardio, and maybe some lighter dumbells (depends on how bad your hand is). I would recommend staying away from flat bench, rows, shrugs, and other grip intensive stuff.
