for a home network, what can i do to extend a wireless network though a larger home without running cables?
is there a way i can just add access points throughout the home and have them interconnect with each other so that the network range is extended where i need it?

There are range boosters, one moment, looking them up. What's the max distance you're looking for?

linksys sells nice antenna boosters. They still lag for me on FPS games though.

300ft is the range of most home ones... routers that is. I did so many installs working for comcast and my opinion of wireless networks = crap. Nothing is better then a hard line.

You can link access point to access point to provide continuous coverage.

yeah - like the other poster said, you can set a wap to be a simple bridge. ('repeater')

that's what i wanted to do, i just wanted to make sure it could be done... is it just as simple as buying another WAP and telling it to act like a bridge? Then, a laptop could connect to the bridge-wap, which would in turn connect it to the Router/AP, which would in turn provide the user with net access?

From what I remember in my LinkSys book, you can tell it to connect to a WAP and rather than get an IP, just act as a bridge.
