Said the world, but its more the US, Iraq, and other middle eastern countries than everyone. The US because we took out someone that we were obligated to be at war with, and we now know who our real allies are. The world because the UN has been exposed as a corrupt waste of time. Iraq because they no longer have a sadistic ruler, are getting a better infrastructure, are recieving a better education, and now have freedom. The countries around Iraq because they now have one less maniac around them (unless they're a terrorism supporting nation and have something against the US, then they're f****d).

i would say that the surrounding countries are safer but i am not so sure Iraq is better off.
I really don't think he has made us any safer . i dont think he was any real threat to us to start with and all we have done is create more people to hate us and are willing to give thier lives to kill us ...

Iraq has invaded Iran, Kuwait, and took part in one or both (i can't remember) of the major wars against Israel. I'd say the entire middle east is much safer without saddam around.
