hate quicktime, hate realplayer.
bandwidth hogs that do all kinds of shit to your computer, just so you can watch some previews and south park clips.
norton anti virus is also a hog. just find viruses, don't give me some fluffy p***y options i don't need! just GET RID OF THE VIRUSES AND LEAVE ME ALONE.
other than that looks like a solid list.

Depends on the computer's purpose:
2 of my computers have:
Win XP SP1
MS Visual Studio 6
MS OFFICE (2000 on one, xp on other)
Some freeware zip utility
Paint Shop Pro and/or photoshop
Trillian
Visio
3d studio max
a few other random productivity software titles
and several newer games.
i also have a few computers with 98se:
older games (quake)
Some older archives/software
one computer is dedicated
for winMX/kazaa lite.

winxp, i keep a ghost of 98 if i decide to use it, and my directory and partition structures own so much I can hot swap operating systems on my OS partition and not have any side effects.

I want to buy a P2 with Win95 on it or something so I can play all of my good ol' DOS games. Those were the best.
Games like, uh, well none come to mind right now, but uh, I'm sure I could find one. Daggerfall! There we go. And Wing Commander 3! And TIE-Fighter!!!!!! And Aces of the Deep! Those games rule.

Well, as long as I can find some of the patches for Daggerfall.. you guys think EQ had a lot of bugs.. heh.. Daggerfall set the benchmark, ladies.
