Dude, not to sound like a trend setter, but I've been doing the whole "sir" thing since my early EQ carrear. I don't know why, I just was. It's not a respect thing, it's just what I called people. Sir and Ma'am.
I began doing this when I left the 3rd person phase, where I was saying shit like "Man, xarp is really hungry."
Anyway... just felt like explaining myself. (Even if I don't use Sir all that often anymore, I still named my Rabbit it!)
