it used to be an interesting channel, now its just garbage home makeover shit all the time.
the same thing with the discovery channel, all they have is those car and motorcycle shows.

Thats why you get Discovery HD, its all such uber shows. Every once in a while you get a "While you were out" bulshit show, but once a week or something. Every month they update with new shows, untill then you get to see every show they have to offer. IMO if you have a big HD television, get it it is so worth it.
They had a program that was on this group of scientists that were exploring these sink holes in South America, which were never explored, ever. They documented hell of species, and the cameras were there in first person, so it wasn't re-explored with cameras.

I agree completely, Booker. It's awful what's happened to those channels... and to think I actually used to watch and learn. Now I'll only tune in if I want to know which pillows go with my couch, or how to make a ramp for a motorcycle on the back of an SUV.
Television is actually getting more and more trashy, though. I might pick up NHL Center Ice and ditch cable altogether, there's nothing I'm interested in watching.

I have to admit that I love Yankee Workshop as well as This Old House....America's Castles, a few others.
I do not like shit like Overhaulin' (I would KILL someone if they ever did those things to my car or truck), Trading Spaces (no, I do NOT want my neighbors in Arkansas decorating my place), and other programs like that.
I also watched this weekend: New York Slavery, Breaking Vegas, Mysteries of Stonehenge, on History Channel, etc. Those are the reasons why I keep paying for them--there are very few channels in the gazillion I am paying for in my cable package that I even bother watching. Unfortunately, I can't get those channels without getting all the shit channels as well

My wife and i watch alot of Discovery health channel. a few sitcoms we enjoy. mostly the older ones that are basicly all reruns that come on at 11 at nite. good stuff that way.

I hate all the shit on TV lately. I don't bother to even watch anything except sports, and even then it better be a team I really care about or the playoffs.
Queer eye for the straight guy, trading spaces, American idol, Survivor, Fear Factor.... all this crap makes baby jesus cry.
