Cheney irks conservatives with gay-marriage stance
Vice president talks in public for the first time about l*****n daughter
WATERFORD, MICH. - Vice President d**k Cheney on Tuesday spelled out his differences with President Bush on the volatile issue of gay marriage and for the first time discussed the **** orientation of his daughter in a public setting.
Asked his position on the subject at a town hall meeting in Davenport, Iowa, Cheney replied: "Lynne and I have a gay daughter, so it's an issue that our family is very familiar with. With respect to the question of relationships, my general view is that freedom means freedom for everyone. "People ought ... to be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to."
Republicans are calling for a constitutional ban on gay marriage in a proposed election platform headed for a feisty debate in the days before their national convention.
In February, Bush announced his support for a constitutional amendment banning same-**** marriage
Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry and running mate John Edwards both oppose the amendment.
So do we girls......so do we.

Cheney is the least powerful man in government. It's good for the current administration to have someone who doesn't have power say these things. It'll bait in some leftist votes.
