Hello, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to OG, and I'm looking to improve. Is there some online source of strategies and situational guides that I should consult? I'm not too fond of browsing the forums and digging through hundreds of topics with similar questions (all derailing into flame wars sooner or later). I'd prefer a well-organized .pdf file or web archive that summarizes all the little things that a new player should know, so that he need not bother his experienced fellows all the time. Is there such a source, and where? Thanks in advance.

The ultimate source would be the OGametips.com website. I like the way it's organized, and as a newbie you should probably check out the archives first. There's a newsletter you can sing up for as well. Other than that, you should check out the strategy FAQs on the game's forum, in case you haven't already.
