looks like states are now making sudafed illegal to sell otc because idiots are makeing meth with it. Guess your going to have to go to the doctor every time you get the sniffles.

what next? paint and gasoline? Personally, I cant see how letting people make their own meth isnt a self correcting policy.

I read a few years ago they were going to start adding sulfur to sudafed, just to make it harder to use for meth production. I wonder what happened with that.

I bought some sudafed a week ago, in oklahoma.

I had a hard time deciding between sudafed and tylenol, but the sudafed won out.

Meth-proof Sudafed to hit markets
http://www.casperstartribune.net/articles/2005/01/01/news/casper/2107eb1b797f4ff587256f7c00011245.txt

Sudafed-maker Pfizer has developed Sudafed PE, which will replace pseudoephedrine with phenylphrine as an active ingredient. On a pharmaceutical level, there have been no direct comparisons of the new decongestant ingredients. However, phenylphrine is commonly used in Europe and is distributed by some U.S. companies and cannot be used to make methamphetamine. Pseudoephedrine and ephedrine products, on the other hand, often are bought or stolen in bulk by illegal drug manufacturers to make meth.

Why don't you move back to the land of your ancestors Qald, America is just going to go farther down the s*****r under evil Bush -- return to the socialist utopia of Europe.

I don't really see what keeping it behind the counter does. How much meth could you make from one or two packages? And if you pull 50 boxes off the shelf and take them up to the counter, that's going to look kind of suspicious. It's not like you could shoplift 50 at a time off the shelf either. It's the quantity you buy that's important, and they can see that whether the kept on the shelf or behind the counter.

you will need a prescription, which the dea will track.

im just so tired of this. I'm 32, and every year of my life has been filled with this drug war mania. And it keeps getting more and more stupid every year.

In most states it is not totally illegal to sell, but there are very heavy restrictions on the number of boxes you can purchase and have at any one time. In Arkansas and quite a few other states I know you can not purchase more then 3 boxes, and if you have more then 3 in your possesion and get pulled over you can get tossed in jail for having the stuff to make meth with.

Aye, Venkmen...I tried to buy two bottles of Nyquil and two packages of Sudafed and they said I could only have three...

Also, Sinrakin--adding sulfur to them would likely mean that people who cannot take regular aspirin would not be able to use the product, either. My mom is allergic to sulfur, which apparently is contained in pure aspirin somehow <shrug>

I'll take medicine for pain but the most I'll take for a cold/flu is NyQuil or DayQuil. If you need more than that you need a new immune system.

it's too bad phenylephrine is already on the market you tard as afrin. Not to mention it's more toxic. They started adding plastics to sudafed to make it more difficult, but they found a way around it, and they'll find a way around anything they throw at them.

it was excellent, i've been awake for 10 days straight.

Seriously though, if you guys lived here, you'd know why they did that.

Oklahoma has more meth labs per square foot than any state in the US.

Almost all of them are ghetto and run out of shacks, trailer houses, apartments, etc by bathtub chemists who do everything the easy way with homemade equipment that doesnt do a good job. Then the places are abandoned, and the next people to live there get very sick and can have huge health issues because of the meth lab they know nothing about.

The shit is so thick in the streets, that meth is more abundant than weed is here, and it's like putting pure poison into your body because it's refined in such a b******t manner by people who usually aren't even chemists.

I don't mind them cutting shit to make it go away.

f**k that. f**k that a lot...

I have had shittified allergies my whole life, and I go thru a few boxes of Sudafed a year...benadryl too. I have been a guinea pig for so many allergy products before they were released like claritin (doesnt work for shit) allovert (doesnt work for shit) veconase (doesnt work for shit) zyrtec (works ok but you feel like shit and have to STAY on it forever).

Sudafed f*****g works, and because of what LOSERS DO WITH IT they are gonna make laws against it?

I agree, let them make what they want, its self regulating cuz they will f*****g die from it via OD or blowing up the f*****g trailer.

Stupid legislation will kill this country faster than any trailer park drug ever will.

Of course you feel better, you're taking pseudo<b>ephedrine</b>.

You'd probably feel better if you could breathe enough to do a line of coke also, but that doesn't mean cocaine should be a legal drug marketed at allergy sufferers.

I evaluated drug use for a while and decided people who are lacking in multiple aspects of social acceptance, entertainment, and knowlege of the detrimental effects of drugs, are prone to drug addiction.

The drugs are harmless the first couple of times used (i suppose from what I've heard) but are abused when the addiction set in.

addiction can set in the first time depending on the drug and route of administration.

There are side effects to pretty much ANY DRUG thats WHY ITS A DRUG.

Ephedrine !=cocaine, this sums up your ignorance on the subject.

You could say 'of course you dont feel your broken leg, your on ASPIRIN, youd probably feel better if you injected HEROIN too, so ASPIRIN shouldnt be legal'.

Please.
