I think I camped him a sum total of 15 minutes. Walked up, feigned, spawned, killed.

I camped him for like 30 straight hours. You get delusional after awhile and start to see things. Like at 4 a.m. when a player runs by and you dash to the screen to see if it was Stormfeather, but it was just some ranger.
You learn the paths of the 3 cougars that wander nearby. You chase people away who might be trying to take your precious camp, etc. Fun!

Yeah it makes you morph from eqchar__2034 to a gollum type char. I sat up so many damn nights straight staring at that screen from my couch. Got me a shitload of cougar earrings :/. Had to b***h out alot of rogues for sitting there waiting to KS.

Did it with my paladin, and nearly went insane. No invis, no feign death, no DPS capable of KSing any competition, just 37 hours staring at my moniter, downing cigarettes and slowly going insane.
I f*****g hate that quest ... nut I love my eyepatch ^-^

Now if you want to go crazy, camp Raster for the first Robe needed to get to the monk epic. Camped Lower Guk for 80 hours total in a week period. Then 100 hours for the Iksar Betrayer in Chardok for the Robe of the Whistling Fists. That's insane

Lodizal isn't the eyepatch bottleneck, Stormfeather is.
Worst case just ask that stupid f**k that's still farming Lodizal, Trila I think. Guildmate paid 1k to them for the map piece about a week ago.

I killed him when I was level 35 or something, I was hunting cougars in Iceclad and stormfeather spawned. The dude that was camping him was asleep, I waited 15 minutes and he never woke up so I killed the bird.

rogues and warriors and shit get Marvelous Visions clickable on their ornate gauntlets. dunno which other classes get also. anyways if you can get ornate gloves get those now =D extra 10% haste and stuff

Stormfeather does suck but your best bet is to just stick it out till it spawns. I tried like every strategy posted on boards with no luck but finally I just sat down and waited for it. Spawned like on the 59th hour and then it was over.

one time we sold the map piece to this guy for 10k, we were gonna show him stormfeather's spawn point. go there, talk to him for 10 minutes about the quest and stuff... POP. nailed him. walked to find the wolf. up. dead.
quest finished in like 30 minutes.
best 10k the dude ever spent.

I spent like 10k for looting rights to a Sinew from Trak from some monk in either HoE or TS if I remember right.
I couldn't get BC to raid Trak at the time (we were busy doing lots of shit) so I got desperate and paid!

Not really, but I would. In case your wondering he is exactly a 23hr spawn with the ability to skip....
Thats right 23hrs. If he spawns at 12am one night expect him 11pm the next 
I watched and timed 5 people before me then missed a spawn cus i was sleeping that my guildie tried to call and wake me for and then got him exactly 23hrs later the next day. Boring camp....and not exactly worth it anymore - specially since you can buy better masks. The speed is nice for solo'ing or when a chanter or shaman arent around....but seriously when is that?
