I'm gonna go for the souls don't exist. If God existed the world wouldn't be what it is today. People just have a need to think they have some sort of post death existence, nothing more. If that's what gets ya through the day great, just don't make the rest of us listen to your b******t.

I like to think that our universe was the result of intelligent design.
The designer, or God, was a small boy in an extraordinarly advanced universe utterly distinct from ours, and he created our universe as a toy one day, setting up all the physical laws and guiding microevolution as myriad lifeforms evolved on planets in all our galaxies.
Then his mother called him for dinner, and he dropped it where he was playing and forgot all about it for billions of years, and it's lain there ever since, untouched and unremembered. It's anyone's guess where His universe came from.

I know I can't prove it. I believe in possibility, but I believe that it really isn't likely based on what I know. I sit so far on the fence to the "There are no souls" side, that I may as well straight up say I don't believe in them.

First off I consider my self "Anti Organized Religion" I made this up my self!
The way I see it, there is a "God" but I don't think we actually know who or what he is. I was raised in one of those Christian community's were everyone loves god and Jesus and if you don't your weird.
At birth everyone it forced into a Religion he or she knows nothing about so who's to say what you have been following for the past 30 years or so is actually true.
A good friend of mine once said that he does not know if the Bible is true but he did say it was a good book and that if people actually lived by it they would be better off. Which is kind of true considering it promotes good moral values.
But the entire issue of god and souls and all that is just way confusing for my mind to fathom. I wish I really knew what the f**k was going on in the world. But does the world really give a f**k about me?
Not to mention that every day people suffer and die under strange events and yet all a Bible thumper can say is maybe Jesus needed them.

My doctor said my liver is going to hell because I drink too much. It would be funny if the body parts you use to sin with go to hell, and the rest go to heaven. It would suck to go to heaven without your penis.

Its impossible, your body will decompose in the ground, your soul is more a product of your mind.

i know my liver wont really go to heaven just the soul of my stem cell created replacment liver will go.
I still think however stupid my argument may be it is matched by how stupid the argument that a 100 cells the size of a pin head created in a lab dish has a soul. this was kinda the whole point , most of you seemed to have missed it : )

so it doesnt develop into a human then no harm no foul ? there should be no problem with stem cell research then. it was never going to grow into a child. has no soul, you killed no one you are just using some cells to grow new organs to extend life for the wealthy.

It requires taking life to get stem cells (atleast currently), excluding the ones we already have which also required taking life to obtain. Thats why Bush lets researchers use already existing cell lines the damage was already done, might as well let the cells serve some purpose.

how so . the method researchers prefer to to use is to fertilize an egg in a lab dish and let it grow to about the size a pin head and use these cells . has nothing to do with abortions.
