Sounds like you should phone up xbox and ask for their help. I heard of this happening with Rear Projection TV's when hooking up the 360 (it was something to do with power overloading i think). Is your monitor a flat screen LCD or big ass projection?

It really sounds like something on the screen just fried. Some component. Get it to a TV repair place, and see if they can fix it, or if it's still in warranty, return it.

Are you talking about your TV or computer monitor? If it's your computer monitor, just degauss it and it should be okay, the random assortment of unusal colors is due to a magnet interfering with some stuff in your monitor.

It sounds like your monitor is fried.
I'm a PC Tech, when you see just one or 2 colors and are missing all of another color it means something has burnt out in your screen (if you are using a flat screen)
And unless you are using something bigger than a 20" widescreen it's most likely going to cost more to repair than to just buy a new one.
If you are using a CRT (Tube) monitor then it could very well be the same problem, and even more so, dont fix it, throw the ancient thing away and get a flat screen >.<

Check your VGA cable, more often than not one of the spokes in the VGA connector has malfunctioned, causing your screen to only display 2 of 3 colours (RGB).
