looking through my magazine, there are a few other MMORPGS coming out that i've never even heard of
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Tabula Rasa
The Saga of Ayzom
Deadlands
seems like the MMORPG world is getting too populated, especially with stuff that has no word of mouth

You got the new Computer Gaming World to I see.
Matrix online is gonna blow.
Only 3 to look forward to is Vanguard/EQ2/WoW.
I think WoW graphics look like WC3 up close.
They better be glad people like the game play.

two there are a ton of instanced zones soooo that reduces bandwidth by a ton
think bnet, more along the lines of bnet d2 setup.

not for diablo 2, in d2 atleast your items/level and character info shit are stored on their servers.. guildwars will be basically the same except for a central hub it will have a city you can walk around in instead of just chat rooms and game listing like bnet, i really dont even consider it an mmo any more than i do diablo.
vanguard looks good, same people who made up the core of verant pretty much are making it, same artists who did the original eq models and stuff, alot of really talented people in there with really strong resumes... its pretty rare for a game company to have so many well known people on the team, pretty much everyone there is known for having done something of note.

yeah as much as i hate to say it vanguard will prob own. Even though i hated so much of how they ran eq when it first came it sadly kept me addicted to it. But now we get to see if that addiction was just because eq was basically your only choice.

yeah alot of ppl who worked at blizzard are working on guildwars too which is why its similar.
cant wait for it though, the pvp is so own in it.

Made a comment about this before where I think the Vision was actually a good thing no matter how much we bitched about it. I really have little desire to get into WoW... I think Vangauard:SOH or EQ2 will be my next long term stop.

ya honestly the vision had annoying parts but in a lot of respects it really kept up the integrity of the game, We might not have liked parts of it but it kept EQ from being s****y for a long time... now sony will pretty much do anything to the game they think will bring in an extra buck.

The Vision DID have sucky parts tho and I hope they learn from them, no window mode for example was retarded.. keeping up quests and strong storyline however was really nice.. and not having so many retarded uber items in the game, and keeping things like dyes out so our armor actually looked unique and you knew who was uber and who wasnt.

Other than the inability to recover from defeat, Shadowbane is hardcore, easily as good as EQ. It's more likely that you just couldn't handle getting killed

I watched Tizitchy play Shadowbane...it looked alright. Seemed like the idea, and concept was great, but it just didn't end up working out. I almost started playing, but just never bought it. Not sure of the actual problems with the game, so I can't comment on that.

but the game just had p**s poor programing, almost nothing worked right... great concept even with the zerg problems i prolly woulda played but with all the lag and crashes constantly it just sucked.
