The Da Vinci Code,
The Last Templar
and The Séance (By Heather Graham)

Movies:
Shawshank redemption. One of the best movies I've ever seen. Morgan Freeman's narration is really powerful. So is the story. Incredible movie.
Book:
The alchemist by Paulo Coelho is def a very nice one. Sadly I cannot describe it without spoiling it

It's a "slice of life" best I can describe it. It's about a sheppard that goes on a quest for riches to only to find problems that he must overcome. And finds his quest in the most surprising of places.
