It's funny how some people who 'proudly' escaped EQ are now all about FF11 lol.

Hook, line, and sinker, boys.

only for those who said they quit eq because they found a life. if they quit because the game was designed poorly, the "updated" graphics were horribly, the company policies were horrible etc. , they far from got caught by ffxi.

form an opinion about a game you have never played, go ahead, ignorance is bliss!

I tinker with just about every game out there. I have for years, it used to be my job actually.

FF11 didn't grab me, compu wanted me to play but I told him 'I'll pass.'

You should talk lol. How long have you clinged to a dead game hoping to be noticed? You aren't l33t and never will be. The game is worthless at your level, you don't have the time to play a high level eq existance.

EQ was lame. Nerfed and unbalanced classes, lack of a social level game, basically over the last two years you couldn't play under 36 hours a week unless you two boxed. Even then you were worthless, clinging to a dead guild and mindlessly leveling in one zone for 6 months. EQ was good when you could group with random people, and just have fun when you had time. The game is now dead. The fun is totally lost. You know this truth because you rarely ever play anymore yet you cling onto your worthless 2 accounts hoping to be l33t someday.

You even joined 6 months after kunark and had everything basically laid out for you. I joined on the Kunark release and things were like they are now in FFXI. I was new to the game and didn't have someone tell me where to go and what to do. Half the fun was discovering things on my own. In FFXI the people are better and stuff is new and exciting. You don't have someone tell you everything, you figure the shit out by exploring.

Plain and simple: You're jealous and stubborn, you really want to play FFXI deep down, but you're too stubborn to admit you wasted your time with EQ the last 2 years.

FF11 didn't grab you? You didn't even play it or see it. You said the very same thing about EQ when i started playing it. "That game is stupid... what a waste of time..." yada yada. Yet somehow, you ended up playing it, eating your own words. I was pretty damn sick of your complaining about it before you played, you hated when people would talk to me about it at work, yet you still ended up playing longer than me. I figured out the game was over, but you wouldn't give it up. I had other things in my life more important than EQ, and at that time EQ was demanding more and more of my time to let me stay in the fun zone.

I don't want to play 36+ hours a week. I want a game that more casual and this is that game.

You're still a bitter warrior, compu. Razz

Anybody that knows me in EQ knows I've never hoped to 'get noticed.' You don't stick in the same guild for 4 years, watching it get smaller and smaller until nobody is left, with those kinds of aspirations.

I actually have fun with it, and when I don't, I don't play. If ever I felt like I was wasting time, I just didn't log on. And last I checked, that was the whole idea behind games.

I have absolutely no desire to play FF11. How often have you seen me play any of the games in the FF series anyways? Once? Twice? They never interested me, and still don't.

edit: I didn't start EQ when you did because my comp couldn't handle it. Remember who's house I first starting playing at??? Here's a hint: it wasn't mine!

You aren't denying the complaining about it. You always said the game was "gay" etc.

My point is simple. You called us hypocritical for hating EQ and playing this game. EQ isn't a fun game anymore and i quit back then for lack of time. I can't play EQ because it doesn't offer any game for social players like it used to. A new game, FFXI came along that offers me the fun experiences that made EQ good back in the day.

I'm not a hypocrit for ragging on the fact that EQ sucks because it's not the same EQ as when i used to play it. FFXI is better than EQ was back then, a complete improvement over EQ's shortcomings.

No, the whole underlying issue here is the inferiority complex my paladin gave his warrior. He literally quit EQ the very moment I passed him in level (and thus power, he reasoned.)

It's funny. I take little EQ breaks now and again, and during those times I play console games because I want to actually accomplish and then win. EQ is unbeatable for all intents and purposes.

Don't kid yourself. I quit EQ because i had a full load at school and time didn't permit my playing of the game. I had 4 senior level engineering classes including my senior design class. Sometimes real life comes first.
