How about go see the f*****g movie - with its opening weekend of 10.1 million we prolly won't get a sequel. At least go pay the $10 bucks to see it in a theater so Joss gets some credit =p

finding a babysitter, paying them approx 20 bucks 11 to 12 bucks a person for movie entry, then another 20 dropped for popcorn & pop & goodies.. gas money *we wont even go there* having to listen to other ignorant fucktards talking on cell phones talking to their friend beside them, missing parts of the dialog because of meatheads...
no thanks i rather stay home stream it from my comp to my nice big tv make the popcorn and juice myself and sit and enjoy a nice movie with my SO while the kids sleep.
and before ya get on me about the industry losing money from downloads bleh bleh i still do the pay per veiw and pay to watch (and record) movies, most recently constantine (imo great movie).
and honestly.. i really dont like people, so a theater full of em isnt exactly my idea of a 'good time out'.

I think the moral of this post is don't have kids.
Oh and when somebody is talking during a movie just do what I do, walk right up to them and ask them if they're ignorant or retarded. I find that works especially well with the packs of pre-teen pukes.

I hate people and I hate theaters myself as well.
I bring my own water in and I eat before I go so I am not hungry during the movie and since I am drinking my own water, I am not paying insane prices for thier shit. I also go on a weekday when there are no crowd so I never have to worry about people talking over it, cell phones and all that jazz. I cannot recall the last time I saw a movie on a weekend much less an opening day.
The only excuse you have that is valid is the babysitter =)

If my friend is working I get in for free yay.
Almost NEVER see a move when it first comes out, I always wait a week or two after everyone has seen it so I don't gotta be in the theatre with more than like 10 people max usually.
If I'm hungry I'll just sneak in some gummy bears or some shit /shrug

it will be out on dvd by christmas..just wait 2 months

Our ever reliable industry sources are telling us that Universal will soon announce the DVD release of Joss Whedon's Serenity for 12/20. Early word indicates that the disc may include Whedon audio commentary, along with at least 4 behind-the-scenes featurettes (Future History, We'll Have a Fruity Oaty Good Time, Re-Lighting the Firefly and What's in a Firefly), a video introduction to the film by Whedon and 6 minutes worth of outtakes. Some of the details on the extras comes from the BBFC website (click the link and hit enter). We'll post more as it comes in.

they need to speed up the process of going from thatres to dvd. When Kill Bill came out they had the dvd done the very next day and they just waited to release it a couple months down the road.
but this would also destroy the box office because most people (myself included) would rather just rent a movie than go see it with all the other a******s in the theatre.

That doesn't sound totally legal nor healthy.. you need to take some time off for yourself, man. At least one day a week! Edit : doesn't sound legal if it's at the same job.

It took me a week to download the whole dvd set, including the extras. I burned the pilot...the rest of the episodes won't burn. They just hang up NeroVision to the point where hitting Abort doesn't stop it. I have to stop it through task manager.
/sigh..another week to download from a diff. place, I guess
