What do I need to back up before I wipe the slate clean?

I downloaded drivers for my monitor, my mouse, my CD burner, sound and video cards. I pulled off all my vids and pics and docs that I will want. I'll be burning this stuff onto CDs over the next day or so.

But how do I get my favorites list from Explorer, and how do I save my internet connection information, Outlook Express contacts and existing mail?

Also, anything else you may think to remind me to save?

Thanks in advance,
~Nug

you wont need to save monitor drivers or anything like that.. windows will run that shit on its drivers until you get better ones from the companies website, if you have cable internet you shouldnt need to save anything, same for dialup, dunno about dsl, i think that windows holds ie favorites in a folder called like I386.. dunno about outlook

open My Computer. Then open your C drive or whatever drive yer stuff is on.

open documents and settings.
open your profile name folder. Inside will be your favorites.
if yer still playing EQ go into EQ folder and save EQ Client, as well as anything with your toons name on it.

After replacing OS, drop everything back where you found it.

To get to your profile directory, from the "run" line, type %userprofile%.

Then just copy the Favorites folder, and possibly your My Documents.

After you rebuild, just use the same command and overwrite the Favorites folder with the backed up one.
