i hate going to bars for one reason:
smoke.
I love going for all the other things though, beer, food, people, POOL.
but now i come home, and all i can smell is f*****g smoke. i love this shirt. i dont wanna take it off lol. but now i gotta go change, and my whole laundry hamper will smell like smoke until i wash my clothes =P
heh. it's just annoying. it makes my nose hurt.
so yeah. stop smoking.

I smoked for 7 years and stopped it about a year ago in November. Was around 2 packs of Marlboro's a day.
That's beside the point. After all the time I have come up with this...
If people want to smoke in bars let them, if they want to smoke in resturants let them.
This resturant tried to go non-smoking like two years ago, that worked so well they went back to smoking in like 4 months cause they lost so much busniess.
Get used to it, don't like it don't go out to those places.
Just my thoughts.
PS: Not ment at you, just tired of hearing it from so many people. It dosn't bother me, someone who used to almost chain smoke, folks should just get used to it is all. This is a free country, or it was...

Probably one of three things i agree with you on.
I'm so f*****g sick of choking on smoke at pool halls and bars. My clothes smell so bad even if i stop in a bar just for lunch. If places want to cater to smokers, they need a ventilation system on steriods. I once played pool at a place that had something similar. They had like HUGE air exaust and intakes with massive fans in the ceiling area and i didn't smell any smoke at all.

They banned smoking in restaurants in CT in october. Bars have until next year. It's nice to be able to sit anywhere in the restaurant now. used to suck when smoking was empty & non was full.

I dont like the smoke, but your more the able to open up a smoke free pool hall. If the market wants it, you will make a ton of money. The places DONT need expensive ventilation systems if they are catering to smokers to placate the non smokers.

Don't go to bars then. If you're too p***y about the smell, then you're too p***y to be in a bar filled with cigarette smoke, and they'd probably kick your ass out for saying something so ridiculous.
If you like bars so much, I'm sure you know of a bar that is for Non-smokers :p

I have no problem with people smoking in bars. That type of atmosphere is condusive to smoking.
Restaurants are a different story. People who smoke in restaurants are simply inconsiderate drug addicts.

Dude, don't bring that shit to my table.
I'll quit when its time to quit.. in the meantime, studies have proven that wood burning fireplaces and outdoor fires put off the equivalent of several years of second hand smoke in the space of a few hours of being near them.
Somehow, they haven't banned 'fire' yet, but knowing the current trend of limiting our rights as citizens of this country until we can't even p**s without someone wanting a sample of it, it would not surprise me if they eventually banned the use of 'fire'.
If you don't like a restaurant that has smoke in it, don't go to that restaurant. Most restaurants and bars have 50%+ of their clientelle as smokers or people who could care less if there is smoke around them. Legislating it is stupid as hell.
