1,000 people arrested !

NOw that i'm playing eq again, i always tend to have the tv on since its next to my comp.. Anyhow, I've been watching Cnn a lot and they showed a live camera of the protesters going BONKERS. LOL. The Reporter was talking then all the sudden you see this guy knock this SHIT out of one of the protesters. The reporter all the sudden is like " blah blah blah , WOA Poor guy, he is getting attacked as we speak. There is no need for this violence." So they go to Chicago and another reporter with another live cam. well this time it shows some guy getting jumped by like cops and shit. At this point i'm laughing my ass off. They take it back to the cnn anchor and he has a smile grin on his face and is like "well then...." hahah funny shit.

Why the f**k make a protest now ???? So your voice and be heard ?? Stfu, like its gonna change anything at this point. People just doesn't get that IT ISN"T GOING TO CHANGE A DANM THING...Shit , Lets go waste are time being gay in the streets so we can go to jail to get ass raped.. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Yesterday in Atlanta, they were having an anti-war protest. I wanted to go down there to protest tornados because a one ripped through southern georgia and killed 6 the other day. Unlike all those protesters, however, I actually have a job so I couldn't go.

I've been against this war all along. But, now since we are at war there is nothing I can do but give my support and thanks to the troops. I wish the rest of the world felt this way.

I've just always believed that violence isn't the answer and that everything can be settled diplomatically. I'm a strong pacifist. I believe that violence and war only breeds more violence and war. /shrug

People don't seem to understand that although Saddam hates us, he had no designs on attacking us. He fancies himself the king of Mesopotemia and was just livin' it up in any one of his 60 palaces. He wasn't gonna bother us, it would've been suicide.

Oh well... looks like we came a-knockin' instead.

And who really cares what he does to his own people? Last I checked, they could leave. It isn't our responsibility to improve the standard of living for the entire world lol.

It's the civic responsibility of every American to make their voice heard.

Many Americans who are Anti-War feel that their voices have NOT been heard, and so they protest. Makes total sense to me.

Wrong. protesting is a right, not a responsibility.

First Amendment wrote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It's like they think bush is gonna see them out there one day, and just say...WAIT, CANCEL THE WAR! THESE YUPPY BONE SMUGGLLING HIPPIES ARE UPSET! ... making a difference only happens in movies of the week, people just listen out of kindness now, like how you smile and nod at a child babbling incoherently.

Well it's not as if the protesters are even making a case. All they do is babble incoherently about no war for oil while raising their hands in a Stalin-like fashion to make the cover of the local socialist rag.

Actually, it's well known that he hasn't let anyone freely leave Iraq in years.

Tell that to my old neighbors. We were getting quite a large number of Iraqis settling nearby, they took over an entire street even (one of the reasons why my parents moved).

Of course, whatever our government says overrides the truth. Oh well... I saw them myself.

So like you saw maybe 5 or 6 Iraqis? There are 24,000,000 Iraqis. All of them cannot leave, and every time they have tried to revolt, Saddam has gassed them, shot them, murdered and raped them. And then when they do try to leave, Jordan, S.A., Iran, Turkey, kuwait send most of them back or imprision them. Yeah great situation!

Open your eyes, the world is not so nice as most of you seem to think.

How should I know all their stories lol? There's a sponsorship program in the area that would bring families over and set them up with money and/or a starter business. I doubt they've got anything going on this second, but last year it was still running. It was all legal if I recall, but they didn't talk to us much so I really don't know specifics. In my time, I probably saw 50-60 Iraqi families come through the neighborhood and school, not 5 or 6, Frax.

I know there were a few homes adjacent to my parents' which were set up to house families from Croatia too (nice people but one year we had to deal with mega-b***h from hell). The relocation business is a very popular arrangement in north Warren/Sterling Heights, MI.

*shrug* you can probably look all this up, and I know the world isn't so nice. My point of contention is that I don't pay taxes to overthrow third world regimes. I couldn't care less how they live.

I think that BS that they set up immigrants with money and a business. Why the f**k are we paying for this? They should be setting ME or people like me up with a business, not some fuckass from iraq !!! Seriously, this country does not need anymore people. Immigrants should not be allowed, they should go to Canada.

Btw, compusmack, the families don't have to pay taxes for 7 years either. My father's reaction was similar to yours: total b******t.

Next time you see him, mention it to him and watch the flames rise from his head lol.

It's no wonder i always see these f*****s with bmws, mercedes, and other shit, and they havent even learned to speak more than very basic English. Free business, no taxes, free money... I wish i knew who started such a ridiculous thing, they deserve to be tortured to death (if they arent already dead).

That's why I asked you to share their stories. You saw some Iraqis and assumed Iraqis were free to come and go as they please. I just wanted to know about how they told you they left as they pleased.
