Nice, I'm only level 10 1/2. But I can never get in either. I've got half the sunset staff quest done, but I know I won't be able to log in to finish it tonight

So has anyone done any PKing yet? Some b***h named Pantyhose shot me with an arrow right after I finished fighting a mob, but then she ran away, maybe because it didn't hurt me that much. I wasn't sure whether or not to chase her, but then the purple color went away and I guess I couldn't attack after that.

I'm a little unsure how it works. Doesn't that mean he's red until he works it off at like 2 points per mob, and until he does he can't go into a town or anything without everyone getting to kill him for free and steal his stuff?
BTW, it occurs to me that deleveling in this game is a good strategy for accumulating more skill points.
Alerik you should just try again - they must have screwed it up or something - they got back to me in one day.

You earn way more skill points per kill at higher levels so deleveling probably slows your skillpoint gain down a lot.
Also like janoth said it's just a pk char at level 4 you don't drop items and my char is 4.94 so dying does nothing to me except refill my mp and hp

Anyone have a good macro program for logging in? I downloaded a sort of crappy one - it types in my password, and in theory can do delays and enters for the next couple of windows, but no matter how long I make the delays, lineage2 won't pop up the next window after login screen (the news window, then the server selection) until the whole macro runs, delays and all. So I just the macro for <tab><password><enter> and hit <enter> 2 more times on my own, which is a lot easier than typing it in but still sucks pretty much.

I heard someone say they use ACTools for it. I just wait til servers go down so I can sneak on

Does it make sense to keep your inventory full of random crap, so that if you get killed you have a smaller chance of dropping something useful, like your main weapon? Or doesn't it work that way? Can you drop money?

You can drop anything but your equipped weapon.
So the biggest investment at any time should be your weapon, armor and accessories are secondary.
If you have no karma points, your chances of dropping items, while small, still exists.

My friend was playing a white human caster and died and dropped his breastplate he almost shit himself with rage lol it was so funny. Later that day I found a tunic of devotion (worth 20k) in the Elven Fortress and now I have a Gladius. Yay!

You can drop your equiped stuff.
very low % of it happening if your karma is low but if it's high....oods are that it will happen.

3rd Scroll of Escape, not just 1 but both that were stacked.

The more mmorpgs I play, the more I respect the guys who developed everquest. There was so much variety, even as a low level player. Here, I have exactly 2 spells to fight with, one of which is useless. I have one fighting strategy. At least in EQ, you could mez, kite, fear kite, charm, lull (not that that ever worked), debuff, DOT, nuke. Here it's nuke, run, nuke, run, nuke, hit. Over and over. And I can't even craft. I wonder if it gets more interesting.

LVL's 1 - 15 were any different than that in EQ?

Yeah, I'll still give it a chance, but it does seem like there's less variety than EQ.
And I died again, lost a pair of boots and an earring worth another 7k or so. Seems I lose 7-10k worth of equipment every time I die, and I have zero karma. Wonder if that's a bug? Although I've only lost stuff in the dungeon - maybe higher drop rate there? I've also only ever lost stuff I was using, never anything from my inventory.
I'm starting to think my strategy of keeping my inventory full of junk doesn't work - maybe for each thing you have, you roll to see if you lose it. It almost seems like the more it's worth, the higher the chance of losing it too.
And I lost my escape scroll while I was trying to use it - got interrupted while "casting" and it aborted - didn't die, but after that the scroll wouldn't work (kept saying "wrong state to use" or something) and when I logged back in it was gone. Seems like a bug maybe.
Found a few good people to party with, but there's a surprising number of dicks in this game. A lot more than I remember from EQ, but maybe I've forgotten  In this games, fighters can out-KS mages, at least at low levels - it takes me too long to cast, even if I alternate spells to avoid the repeat delay.
Stupid question, but how do you use the shout channel btw? There's no chat tab for it like the other channels, and /shout doesn't work.
