there was one where this old guy was doing an old detective film noir type thing, where he was a PI and had a voice over monologue. Only he was actually speaking what he was saying(which was pretty inappropriate when he had guests/clients). It was hysterical, but I have no idea who the actor was that was the guest. Does anybody know?

I liked the one where Phil Hartman and some chick were sitting on a couch, and after each thing they'd say, you'd hear what they were thinking? Then Phil's dumb roommate, Joe Montana, walks in and everything he said out loud matched what he said in his head, and he ended it by saying "If you need me, I'll be upstairs masturbating."

yeah that is one of the classic ones from when SNL didn't suck ass.

I think SNL should receive an Emmy for "Show that has sucked the longest and not been cancelled." It's like a vehicle for Lorne Michaels's s****y movies. Anything that gets more than one laugh gets its own movie.

the thing is, i remember this period, and even then people said the show sucked. i think the answer is that the show is good and people suck.
