Like you couldn't climb over or around that if you really wanted to. It's the last thing you're ever going to do in your entire life; how hard could it be to put a little effort into it?
Along those lines, why is it that the curved part of those fences is only on one side? At least around here, usually the fence on one side of the bridge is curved over like that, and the other side is straight. And it doesn't correspond to the direction of traffic, because the curved side is over both lanes. I always wondered if it had to do with wind direction or something. I've never seen both sides have curved fences.

We dont care much about those who jump off the bridge...its the mess and work to get them out of the water that suck.
And lets not forget that they block the traffic.

damn you I had full intentions of posting that picture.
curved fences make it so you cant climb them as easy. They are mostly used on bridges and minimum security prisons. You have to be able to lift all your weight with your arms instead of pushing off with your feet.
