It's obviously unfair that the poorer person in your example doesn't get a $10,000 tax cut like the person that makes 20 times as much as he does. |
If a person who makes $20,000/year and pays no taxes gets a $10,000 tax cut, isn't that welfare? |
No, no, no! All this talk of percentages is just a bunch of lies I tell you! LIES! LIES! LIES! If a person pays $5,000 in tax and gets a $500 tax cut and another pays $1,000,000 for a $100,000 tax cut, the tax cut is so completely unfair! It is OBVIOUSLY aimed at the rich and all of George Bush's bestest buddies! Who cares if both get a 10% reduction?! Come on! It's completely self-evident that $100,000 > $500 so the tax cut must be unfair!! Don't they teach math in schools anymore?!?!

I think the Republicans cut that out of the education budget a long time ago, Nuldaan.

Republicans are pro-education because they oppose the Department of Education and teacher's unions. Those are the two biggest roadblocks to the success of public education today. Democrats, on the other hand, are more interested in maintaining those constituencies.

But but but...NWS, the president controls the economy. EVERYTHING that happens during a president's term is his direct responsibility and is the direct result of his actions.
