By all estimates we have either killed or arrested over 2/3 of the leadership of Al Quaeda, and a report I heard yesterday on one of hte mainstream news networks said we have killed over 3,000 of their members.
the Taliban is gone
Libya turned itself in and is cooperating
Pakistan is cooperating (mostly)
the financing networks for terrorism have been severely damaged and limited
Saddam (YES SADDAM) who paid 25,000 to each Palestinian suicide bomber (yes they are TERRORISTS) and had known training camps INSIDE Iraq for terrorists, is gone
NOT A SINGLE ATTACK ON US SOIL SINCE 9/11, and numerous plots foiled
That is just a few things off hte top of my head, but sure looks like Bush is doing something right?

- how many we've killed is irrelevant; the key point is how fast are they being replaced. Not even conservatives seriously suggest that Al Quaeda is down to 1/3 of their strength, and many people argue that they're stronger than ever

- no they're not; they're just not in power. But they're taking control of more and more cities in Afghanistan and stepping up terrorism. They're being supported from Pakistan. Do a search for "taliban resurgence".

Pakistan is cooperating (mostly)
- Pakistan is doing the minimum necessary to keep money and trade flowing from the US. The tribal leaders and some of the government is supporting the Taliban and terrorists in Iraq. The population supports those fighting the US.

- true but not really relevant. Suicide bombers aren't doing it for the money, and I haven't heard anyone suggest Saddam's being gone has reduced the motivation to bombers.

- Not a single attack in 3 years is almost irrelevent. We've often gone far longer than that, and terrorists are known for biding their time. As for plots foiled, the government always has, and always will be foiling some plots. As for how many and how serious they were, you've only got their word.
That is just a few things off hte top of my head, but sure looks like Bush is doing something right?
- some things right, but very little compared to the damage that he's done

Doubt most people know this, but it was far from just actual uniformed VC that made Vietman an impossiblity to win.
It was actually because all the villiagers would help them, because it was their own freakin country! You'd have children walking up, tossing grenades into whole platoons of Marines.
And the same things are happening over there.

I agree that both Megalo and Buckshot are annoying and frequently irrelevant. Worse, Megalo's anti-semitic comments and Buckshot's obscenities frequently make me want to avoid any thread where they have posted. It would disturb me greatly to be on the same side of the any issue as either of them except that the other side has just as many if not more foul-mouthed bigots, including some (Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter among others) with a much wider audience.
On the other hand, Sinrakin issued a detailed and well-reasoned rebuttal to Vekril's initial post about the same time you put up your irrelevant bit of satire and nobody has responded to it yet. You can agree or disagree with Sinrakin's points, but I would say both sides did their share to derail this thread into the childish bickering so common on Realpoor.
P.S. While your post does nothing to help promote a reasoned debate, I don't mean to imply that your rhetorical skills are as inflamatory or nonsensical as those you are "impersonating"
