looking at buying a new tv and wondering which is better to go with. i'm looking for reasons/facts as to why one is better than the other. do not try to talk me out of Sony. i personally swear by the stuff and on top of all that it will keep in line with the other 10 sony products i have already.
anyhow, the choices are:
1) KDF-E55A20 its a 55 inch lcd for $2300 in my living room
or
2) KDE-50XBR950 its a 50 inch plasma for $2500 in my living room
i'm sure the whole debate between lcd and plasma has been on here likely numerous times. but i obviously missed those threads.
thoughts?

Sony is the win. Every time I go to any store and see a Sony next to a Samdung or any other PoS it f****n rocks.
Have a buddy with a 55 LCD. Watching sports in HD on it makes me want to cream my pants. Sony 4tw.
