new to City of Villains

I am new to City of Villains and it seems like I can get rid of the thought that I have seen this game before and it had a different name. I havent been imagining things so far and I guess there is a logical explanation for this. Was there an older game that was similar to the City of Villains?

Dont worry you are not imagining things. The City of Villains had an ancestor and it is called the City of Heroes. It was the same thing except in this new game, the City of Villains you can choose and be a great villain if you like that sort of thing. I am a villain myself and I simply adore areas where player versus player fight is allowed and I bump into some hero. Player versus player is as close to real thing as it gets. I dont like player versus environment because I cant get out of my head that I am playing against a computer. So to get back to the question, if you already played the City of Heroes that solves the mystery of why you think that the City of Villains already existed.
