i just bought 2 200gb hardrives, which according to the install info have to be connected to the included controller card, so i will have 2 hdds on the card, 2 hdds on ide 1 and on ide 2 a cdr and a dvd drive.
now my question
last time i had a system that used a pci controller card, it had a note saying
the boot drive had to be conected to it, but this was with win98se
with winxp, do i have to boot hhd connected to the controller card, or can i just use my current main drive?
the paperwork and online help don't say really, they just go over installing it and the card drivers, then say to copy old main drive to this new one.
