Hey guys, im not new to here ive been on these forums before trying to sell my current wow account, but i decided to keep the account and let the auction expire...
Recently ive been looking at getting another toon on my server... pve on alliance and pvp on horde and was looking for an A toon... Ive found one i like in the wow trading section.. my question is
How often would the BUYER get scammed? and what do i do? I know a seller could easily get scammed as in, giving away the username/password and not being paid for the account and his account getting raped and pillaged and everything stripped but what about the buyer?
Say I pay this person for the account, and they dont give me the details? where do i stand? even if its through paypal secure etc etc?
Please help me

When you get the account, you then transfer it over to a new account with the same last name as the original, then ban the old account by making a new character, going to Ironforge/Orgrimmar and spamming racist words to alert a GM, or more easily use the "still stuck?" help button, since GM's respond to it very fast. Then proceed to rain down profanity and racism on the GM and the account will be permanently banned, making it impossible for the character to be recalled.

I've been scammed as a buyer before - infact I've been scammed more as a buyer then a seller!
Odus' has given some good advice - but thats if the account even exists. You could find the advert is just a bait to get you to send money; then they do a runner.
Theres no surefire way not to get scammed; sometimes you just have to use a bit of common sense. Unfortunately; even then the so-and-so's can still catch you out! Good luck.
