Ok, so I have two computers at home, my desktop and my laptop. I ran the network setup on both computes, and they are both on the same workgroup. I can play lan games and all that just fine.
As soon as I enable Internet connection sharing on my desktop, it f***s up the work group, when I go to view workgroup computers, there is none there.
Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated as this problem is p*****g me off to no end.

His point was if you get a router you won't need to use ICS. Come to think of it, if you have a wireless router, why ARE you using ICS? Neither computer is the gateway to the internet; the router should have the uplink on it, with the two computers talking independently to the router.

All ya really have to do is point the laptop at the desktop for all the numbers.
let laptop be 192.168.0.101
let desktop be whatever the ip it hands out to ya. say 12.345.678.901 for a number lol.
on the laptop, set the gateway and dns to 12.345.678.901 and away ya go
