I'm looking for some software that keeps track of customers, prints invoices, and maybe do a few extra things like keep track of balances and write notes on when contacted/etc.
Most importantly do invoice and billing
Any suggestions?

Platypus... think its semi-expensive (couple thousand bucks depending on the licensing) but its the swiss army of billing software.

Quickbooks is great for that, it is basically what my internship entails. Take peoples financials for their small business and enter everything in there. It is funny some of the stupid business practices I have seen so far.

Whatever you do... stay away from DATAMODES. We're stuck with it where I work... it's seriously the worst piece of shit, not user friendly software I have ever used.
