I just got my new 120hd and now i need to know what i need to do to finish up so i can pirate games and whatnot.
www.Xbox-Scene.com is helpful but their forums are always too busy so I can't ask there and i know a few people here have done it.
First off i know you need a mod chip and the X-ecuter2 lite seems like a nice one to get for 35$ off some website.

In its review it says :
What you need to install it:
* a v1.0 or v1.1 xbox
* a TORX 10
* a TORX 20
* Solder Equipment
I am no solderer but my friends brother will do that part for me so I don't know what TORX 10 and 20 are if that deals with them.
I have a v1.0 XBOX btw
after i get that installed what do I do? any help would be appreciated thanks.

the torx are special s***w drivers you need. 10 and 20 are the sizes. 20's are for opening the case itself, 10 is for the s***w holding the hard drive harness thing in.

You'll need the following:
ISOMaker (to create XBOX ISO's to burn to CD-RW or DVD-R)
EvoX Dashboard (Dash GUI)
DVD copy to XBOX HDD util (PxHDDLoader or DVD2XBOX)
Slayer's Install (compilation of apps to easily setup your xbox with the large HDD)
Xecuter Latest BIOS 4977 or 4976.02
CD-RW (99% of XBOX's don't read CD-Rs, need a CD-RW)
FTP client on your PC.
Basic LAN networking knowledge (TCP/IP)
Other than that, the tutorials on XBOX-SCENE.

tav, what's "DVD copy to XBOX HDD " for?
and on xbox scene they said they cracked the 137GB limit this week. welcome to 300Gb drives for yer xbox!
and if yer xbox is modded and you have cracked games and want to play them online with other ppl(like xbox live)

PS: Have fun soldering the "DO" wire. that one took me about 2 hours alone to do. hard to find the spot, and even harder to figure a way to solder it in so it sticks and without screwing up the board.

I cant seems to find any simple answers from people at Xbox-scene.com so i gotta come back here for answers.
I am going to buy an X-Ecuter 2.2 LITE modchip

I have read about all this stuff for hours but cant seem to get an answer. No would be good since they aren't in stock.
getting a bios seems to be the hardest part to do since its illegal to download one or whatnot. Does anyone have Evox or whatever that I can download?
all this shit is annoying me to death because i can't get any answers from any websites. All the guides are outdated too it seems.
I really need some help on this so if anyone wants to help a brother out send me a pm or reply here and help me get this settled.

I'm having my PS2 modded by www.xteammods.com 119.99 for the top of the line PS2 chip + Installation and 60 day warranty. I'm not confident enough in my abilities to solder, to do 23 wires on my first go around.

Kireol... any utility that you can load on your xbox to facilitate copying games from CD/DVD to your XBOX.
As I said, PxHDDLoader and DVD2XBOX work well.
Also, per the 137GB barrier... yes I saw that. Still too early to say it'll be 100% compatible, but looks promising.

I was thinking about getting mine professionally done but im not sure what all they do to it. Looks like if I ship it to them and whatnot they can do it but its like 100$ for all of that, kinda a bit pricey after buying the hard drive and whatnot.
Anyone on here want to do it for 50 or so with me paying all the shipping?

The chips run around $40 for a X2.2 lite. $60 for an hour or 2 of work sounds about right to me.

With the 60 day warantee, 120 bucks for my Playstation was more than reasonable to me. I will save a bunch of money and have a huge collection of games to show for it 6 months from now 
To each their own though.
