seriously, do you not like your mom and she has no idea or what? just do what other people who seem to despise their parents do, move out (halfway there already!!) and dont stay in contact (needs more work!)

if it was only that simple. i havent lived with my mother (with the exception of staying at her place a week after my knee surgery to recoop) since jsut after my 16th bday when she packed her stuff and walked out leaving me to live with my father.
i immediately moved out and havent lived with my parents since. my father i disowned, but my mother its not so simple as the entire family doesnt hold her responsible for teh fact that she cant deal or live in reality.. where as i consider her a weak person and dont hold much respect for the woman who turned her back on her children when they needed her the most.
she was never around much, worked alot late hours, which helped her deny the reality of what she was subjecting us to. and even when it was tossed in her face she denied it tried to hide it and still to this day wont acknowledge it.
i guess for some its easier to make believe the truth didnt really happen cause then you dont have to face responsibility for your own actions.
anyway im way to emotional atm and probably have already said too much. shes not a very stable woman we never bonded or were close, my sisters raised me not her. unfortunately my one sister is very close with her and shes the one holding this bday get together.
my grandmother will be there and is looking forward to having all her grandchildren and great grandchildren together. that is the main reason im going. as for disowning my mother.. if it was only that easy!

i miss going to the races. i miss fishing and camping too. i cant wait til my sons a bit older and we can take them and do those type things again.

may twenty fourth long weekend the closest weekend to may 24th. victoria day long weekend is how else its known.
