I was getting around 24 fps at the Tarren Mill deal on Beta 1 with like 30-50 people there. The only times it really got bad were when like 4 people would use one of the fancy AEs. Though I don't think a system that only meets the 'minimum specs' is going to fare too well. I have an Athlon64 3200+ with a Geforce 5700 256 mb card.

If you're running Cosmos, be sure to turn off target distance and combat stats as that'll make you lag quite badly. I get good FPS in PVP fights though, /shrug.

we did it fine at ED raids that weren't hard capped! At least it felt like 300 people.

if your comp stays at above 24fps...you will never see any difference in the picture, your eye can only detect up to 24

but if it changes when you move the screen, then thats different. I have never dropped below 40 with my new comp.

Was at a horde raid to a large alliance city last night... probably 60-80 horde people and 20+ humans + 40 human guards. FPS never really droped below 30, and my computer isnt anything special. Hell, my laptop runs WoW well.

Upgrade maybe? Because if you're complaining about WoW framerate, then you're obviously playing on something you bought 5 years ago.

The eye can detect 60fps, which is why if you run your monitor under 60mhz you will get a headache from the strobe effect monitors give off.

24fps is what a vcr runs at, however, its a different kind of display.
