well... Bush has a good speechwriter, ill hand it to whoever the guy is, and Bush didnt manage to mess it up...
on another note, notice how he cleverly changed the position of the war on iraq from "they have WMDs and are going to use them against us" to "saddam is a bad person and we dont like him" to "well, they were PLANNING to maybe try to come up with some WMDs, and then who knows.. they might have attacked us after that"
except as a politician he worded it more subtly, and almost made it sound good in the sotu =p
though i have to say, Dean's foreign policy is far from genious as well (not sure he'd do any better than Bush in that aspect) .. (on the contrary side, clark and kerry actually have some experience..)

Actually if you remember back before the leftist wmd propaganda, his stated reason (as repeated in this state of the union) was that Saddam continually refused to abide by the UN resolutions against him and, since he is a hostile character in the bed of terrorism, he had to be removed.
