Was there actually any reference to the chat in the news stories? I think maybe that chat log was created around the news stories. That Ripper thing was all over the news. I would think this little chat would have gotten coverage, too.

When I used to live at home, I used to drink in my room with my friends. My sister used to drink all the time in her room. My ex used to smoke weed on my roof. I know my mom had no idea this was occuring. Now, if I had happend to kill myself, damn right she would have found out what was going on. She had alcohol in her system? oh...

His parents have EVERYTHING to do with it. They raised with some degree of values and everyday sense, wether it was a high degree or low degree. If you want I'll point out every single detail of how much his parents had to do with this and YES it is their fault.
#) He most likely had an extreme lack of discipline by his parents (all too common in youth from my generation to current)
#) He was most definately not taught to research or learn about things before doing them (thus no common sense at all, just another pleasure seeking fucktard)
#) They most likely had knowledge that he was doing things in their home but neglected to do anything about it (and for those that think their parents have no idea that you've done most of the things you think you got away with, think again. For those that MAY have that case, I feel sorry for you and your parents)
I can't fully say how his life was and how he was raised, this is simply based off of experience dealing with the people that I do on a constant basis. I deal with a lot of *kids* on a daily basis and it's pretty much the same except for a few cases (very few people I know were raised with ANY sense at all). This has two causes:
1) Parents both have to work constantly to keep up with this country's f****d up economy and society. This causes the child to be left with strangers or mostly unattended. BAD RECIPE.
2) Parents were just p**s poor examples of human beings and didn't care enough about their chaild to even attempt to raise them correctly, instead spending most of their time seeking their own pleasure and entertainment.
I know a lot of people younger than me, most of my friends are at least 5-10 years younger than me and it's the same case over and over. Most of them I can barely tolerate, some are entertainng so they are tolerated more than most. For the most part I really dislike younger TV Baby generation (the term should be Generation TV BABY because Generation X is far too cool for most of you whackoffs).
On a side note, I don't blame you all for being mostly retarded. I blame your parents. I think that most of you are a VERY UNFORTUNATE BIPRODUCT of a hedonistic society that simply wants more and more for the sake of having it because they think it has some life fulfilling value while your parents neglect you and fear disciplining you out of fear of some legal action for abuse. f**k that, most of you simply need a good beating.

Oops, I guess it's time to blame ourselves instead of him. I blame myself and society for failing this poor 19 year old. If only we had taken care of him and cared more, this senseless tragedy could have been averted.

I worked in a childrens daycare for three years, so yes, I have an idea of lack of discipline and what not. And nope, sorry, can tell you my mom would have definitly stopped us if she had known. A couple of times She found bottles in my room and went nuts. Most parents are not up their children's ass every second of the day. If they are at home most likely they are assuming that the children are safe. Sorry if your parents were up tight fuckheads who made you keep your door unlocked at night. And how could this generation not know about drugs. Dont we get DARE and other such 'drugs are bad' lessons from schools, and tv, and parents. Sounds to me like your the fucktard, fucktard.

yes, I see your point but it does sound authentic enough. I do think they took out things here and there and only posted parts of the conversation.

I just think that if it were authentic, that there would be a news report on it. There's nothing connecting the log and the news.

Actually I had a good amount of freedom when I was growing up. My parents let me do pretty much what I wanted when I wanted. I did know, however, that if I did something wrong that I would be in deep shit when I id get home. Did I experiment with drugs? Sure did. Do I use them currently? Nope, I stopped when I was 18 because I learned all I wanted to about them. My Aunt used to tell me stories about some of the things she did when I was around fourteen, and though some of the stuf was humerous and funny, some of it was pretty jacked up. I was taught that anything in excess is bad for you, either physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, or financially. Did I drink when I was underage? Yes, I was brought up around social drinking and taught to know my limitations and how to act responsibly. Did I over do it any? f**k yeah I did. Did I get into a lot of trouble when I was a kid? You f****n' know it. I got into a plethora of trouble and was escorted home by the police frequently.
Even with all of that, I stopped when I turned 18 because my parents instilled some degree of values in me and I realized that it was all stupid. I continued to get into trouble, spent six years working in bars bouncing and whatnot. Married a stripper that I met in one of the strip clubs I worked in, ended it 2.5 weeks later. I've had my ups and downs, been in my share of trouble can definately say that I've lived my life to the fullest. I don't regret anything that I have EVER done because it's all been a learning experience. I wish my parents were more retrictive with where they let me go, who they let me hang out with, and what I was allowed to do. I'm happy with myself as a person, I think I've turned into a pretty decent person overall. I work, I pay my own bills, I don't make excuses for my actions, I do what I need to do and that's that. I *may* not be the most sensitive person, but I give out my emotions to those people that I deam worthy of it. I don't give a f**k about saving every poor lost soul out there from their own destructive stupidity, and would prefer that most people who are as stupid as this kid would do this kinda shit more often.
So, to get back to you little miss wiggerfan. What was your mother doing when your ex-boyfriend was smoking pot on your roof and other mayhem was going on in your home?

Well, you have to remember though, that this was the first time he tried it. He wasent over doing anything.
And my mother was sleeping. Things such as this were usually occuring after she had gone to bed. We thought it unsafe to do in front of her face, lest we get a beatin'.

#) Having no common sense is the fault of his own dumb ass. I don't think you can hold his parents solely accountable for that. He was 19 years old, which means he spent more than 16,000 hours in an institute that was supposed to be "educating" him.
#) It would be absurdly easy for me to sneak mushrooms into my upstairs bedroom and do them on absolutely any given night without my parents EVER having a clue. Why?
1) They trust me.
2) They'd never expect me to do it.
3) They're 60 years old and go to bed at 7:00pm
4) I'm not f*****g stupid.

I think it was the first time for him to do shrooms, not hard drugs. He talked about the drug dealer as afriend irl so he probably had tried other things before. I feel bad for him if he really didn't know that they were laced.
NWS- I think you are probably right on about the IRC convo being a fake.

Like i said, I've done a lot of things my parents would have been opposed to right under their noses. Jesus Christ man, weren't you ever a kid? Don't tell me your parents knew about everything you ever did. |
I agree with you that they can't police them, but doint hard drugs under right under there noses is bold, and would usually imply that they have done them many other times if they are using them in the home.

Whether the kid was a moron or not is besides the point at this time. He is dead because he mad a bad choice and ate those shrooms. Plain and simple.
Now as for those of you who are saying that something should happen to the people in the chat that egged it on.......
You all can eat my ass with a spoon. How the f**k were those people reading text, that some moron from god knows where, was typing suppose to know that he was being serious. I mean hell. They could not even know for sure that he actually had taken shrooms. Alot of you sick f*****s (and I am included in that) would have done the same damn thing. Hell I can remember a few different message board invasions where some pretty hardcore shit was said to some people that were claiming they wanted to end it all.
So once again I will restate that if you think that the people from the chat room should feel bad in any way and/or they should have something done to them then you can.....Eat my ass with a spoon.

Only if you use the big wooden decorative ones that you would see hanging on the walls of houses back in the late 70's.
