Was gonna run to bestbuy and pickup Planetside today.. Stopped by the PS msg boards quick first before I went. SOE strikes again.. clasic bait n' switch..
Beta ended 2 days ago, game opened today.. End of beta, everything was fine.. People log in today to find EXP for kills *10* times lower. Instead of 100-150xp per Inf kill, you get 10-15xp.. hahahah.. Treadmill in a FPS? Only Sony.
Needless to say they wont see me playing.. I'll re-activate my EQ account if I want a level treadmill. I just feel sorry for all the shmucks who got duped by SOE into buying the game.

Well it was a beta, thus subject to change before going commercial. 2nd it's the same game, same fun, same vehicles, same world...since you now gain xp slower, now you're gonna take people 1 month to get BR 20 instead of 5 days. The game is suddendly no longer any good?
People just looking for reasons to hate SoE it's making me laugh. They are far from the best company, but at least get a serious reason to flame them.

est is now 3+ months to get to br20, as they also made br14+ "hell levels" by doubling the exp need for them (reported at e3) in retail.
they have said many time the point of the game isn't exp but killing
but really you shouldn't need more than br6 to get all your main crap.
i hear command lvls are ungodly now, which i guess is okay , really wouldn't want eveyone with gobal powers and shit.
the reason i think the higher exp sucks, if i did play i would like to have had several toons around br12 in each empire.

They nerfed the shit out of the xp gain the last few days of beta. Needless to say the got flamed hard on their own boards about it and said that the "XP system was not complete and that we need to add more features". Mind you this is 3 days before Beta was to end and the game was to go live.
I honestly don't blame the developers for the rush out the door. I'm betting it's the brass at SoE that made them kick it out to milk their customers.
First month of release expect alot of patches. They'll be adding alot of content they couldn't get in before release. A few more vehicals and xp tweaks are on the way!
