Do you still believe in the things you were taught as a child? Why or why not?

Any, it is an free question.

I do believe in certain things that i was taught as a child. I believe in strength as a woman, being the best mother that I can be but also accepting my errors. I believe in overcoming shit just by watching my mother struggle as a single parent through the 70-80's. I believe that escalators will eat you alive and that if you arne't good the gypsies will come and make you a slave Sad lol. I believe in compassion to others and animals and showing loving kindness to those who need it. I learned that just by watching her bring home stray animals or sending food to the neighbors when they needed.

What she did not instill in me though was the sense of extending your education, which I came to find on my own is very important to me. She also never taught me how to outwardly express difficult emotions like guilt, love and anger. Spiritually she never touched on god or anything because she is not religious herself so that allowed me to explore those areas on my own. these things were difficult for her to do as her own person so I am not blaming or making a negative statement about my mother she is a wonderful person .. just a little emotionally hard.

I was also taught that I wasn't normal by society not having my father around or never even having spoken to him but twice that I could remember. I now know that this is wrong. It wasn't something I should have been embarassed or ashamed of. It is hard to tell a child that though when their peers poke fun consistently at them for it.

my mom taught me not to laugh when I'm eating because i could choke. I still try to follow that advice. Unless I'm reading Foxtrot because it's really funny.

Keep your d**k in your pants around girls until you can afford life expenses.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Go to college or I'll personally kick your a*s before the world does.

Women are evil. (Joking, but he still said it a lot)

You're your own worst enemy most of the time!

Don't tell mom.

If I find you doing any drugs, I'll end your life before they get the chance.

If a lady is crying because she ran out of dish soap, it's best to tread carefully in the home!

f**k scabs.

I can probably sum it up in one sentence:

I learned how NOT to raise a child.

I believe in the Force. It flows through me, surrounds me, always.

For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.

May the Force be with you.
