was pretty good.
I play medieval:total war sometimes, and its funny to see how every crucade sent by any nation other than your own usually gets crushed before making it past turkey.
the movie was faily accurate in much of it.
in the game, knights templar are ownage^max.
but in te movie they are owned ^max.

This is a really s****y movie. It actually explores new ground in the realm of dumb, maybe it is worth seeing it if you like cringeworthy stuff, like Gigli or Episode I.
The scene especially, when Orlando Bloom's character is announcing to the defenders of Jerusalem that he is surrendering the city to the Muslims and everyone reacts with cheering and applause is one of the most hilarious moments in movie history. Even Monty Pythons couldn't even have come with shit like that.

God, I wish filmmakers would stop looking for reasons to stage big battlefield and castle storming sequences.

I liked it because it was a pretty neutral movie. It didn't make any good nor evil sides, with the exception of a few characters.

You do realize that they were cheering because they had absolutely 0 chance of survival and he successfully achieved terms that guaranteed their survival from the conquerors. Remember that 90% of the fighting force were villagers, and villagers are usually more into the survival of their families than honorable death defending a city.
In conclusion, I hope Orlando Bloom kills you with a spear.

It's cool to see epic battles, I can't get enough of that shit!
But the storyline was pretty weak and unmoving (no Gladiator, for damn sure)... but I can imagine it being quite hard to make a cool story using something as epic as the Crusades.
And I also liked how the Muslims weren't made out to be the bad guy. Historically they were by far the more tolerant of the two religions.
