Honestly, it wouldn't be fair. Stewart has the freedom to say and act anyway he wants. And Stewart comes across on camera as very sharp. How much of that is from a team of writers or off the cuff I have no idea. Bush has to watch every single word he says because the liberal news will chop it into 10,000 one sentence sound bites. Then they will build works of fiction around the ones that might make him look bad. He get enough of that now due to his oration skills.
I read Bush is a decent guy on a one to one basis,a very funny guy. I don't think you would see the real GW on stewarts show. Just like you don't see the real GW at news conferences.
I can't wait to hear the shit GW starts talking once he has been off the job a year or 2.

He is very smart but im sure alot of what we see as being smart is due to his writers like you said.

I saw a documentary a few years ago, when Bush first started his campaigning for his first term. With them travelled a young female journalist that kept a video diary of the tour. Suprisingly he was funny, very sarcastic and he made me laugh on multiple occasions.
Stewart's one of my favorites, I stay up until 1am each day to see a rerun of the daily show on cnn europe - I need my daily dose of him!

www.mininova.org - you can grab the new episodes there. CNN Europe airs old ones as far as I know  Plus they do some editing I think... I saw it first on CNN Europe as well, then downloaded the episodes - they didn't match. Maybe they remove sections that they don't think would interest international viewers?

Yeah, I loved colbert in the Daily Show, I'm not too impressed with his own show. I still fly into N-America every couple of weeks and my friends tape most episodes ... Just that cnn Europe will do for my daily dose. They do cut a lot of references that they think we might not get here, it's still Stewart though ....
