well i dont have a home phone first off, only use the cell. i like this one because they were able to add a PDA and yet still keep it real small

It's a PHONE. You TALK to people with it. These new phones are loaded with crap you'll never ever use. These companies thrive on people like you. Sheesh.

Why you would even mention being able to play Doom 1 on a $300 or more piece of equipment with a Send and End button for your controls is beyond my comprehension.

It's a touch screen:P plus it's one of the best quality phones I have had I can browse the entire internet at will. Check any of my E-mail account enabled with POP or internet based browsing all while talking to someone on speaker phone. So yeah I can play doom on my phone and watch full screen Porn.

Strangely enough, I can do that with this computer and the cordless at my house. Cell phone companies have (unfortunately) convinced everyone that they need to be able to be contacted at all times. It's a mark of our society's gullability, vanity, and lack of privacy that most of us fell for it. I can see the use of cell phones if it's for business, or for saving your ass if you run out of gas or something, but you really should feel the need to disconnect at some point. It's healthy to be unreachable. I don't mind pagers at all. It lets people let you know they want to talk to you, but you don't have to return that page, and if you're afraid of telling people you didn't want to talk to them, you can always say you couldn't get to a phone. Whereas cell phones make more noise with the trillion different ringtones, interrupt movies, and cause accidents.

i agree . if you arte too stupid to turn your phone off when you don't want calls than you should not buy one.
around here a home phone costs about $39 and my cell phone costs $50.
i get 700 min any time . unlimted after 7pm and on weekends , i laso get unlimted to anyonelse that uses sprint.
cell phone means i never have to wait around home for important calls, if i get stranded somewhere or someone gets hurti have a way to contact help, if ya lose someone in a crowd it is easy to find them, days that i am oncall at work i dont have to wait around home for the call i can be out and about doing whatever i like , i never have to find pay phones ( harder and harder to find these days ) when i am out and about or quarters for that mater, if i want to know when a movie is playing it tells me or the score of a game.... endless uses all for $11 more than a home phone.
but then again i figured out how to turn mine off, leave it at home or in the car when i dont want calls.

they convinced me that technology truly can make life easier at very little cost.
oh yes but i know where the power butten is on mine . not all of us can find it ....
