saw this trailer with the matrix last night, and man-oh-man, am I looking forward to this one:

I'm sure they'll be an extremely aggravating subplot featuring hokey studio actors, but the scenes of world destruction look soo sweet... I'm drawn towards images of realistic decimation, Armageddon-style, I even went so far as to rent "The Core," possibly the stupidest movie ever made but I did get to see Rome & San Francisco digitally destroyed. Well worth the 4 dollars. I'm contemplating seeing this one in the theater, it all depends on just exactly how annoying the mandatory dialogue pans out to be... the two stars are hit-or-miss (Dennis Quaid & Jake Gyllenhaal) as is the director Roland Emmerich, (
Independence Day, Stargate) so perhaps he'll know enough to keep the dialogue to one-liners and quips and keep the Doomsday momentum going... Even if there is a gay buttloving love story between Quaid & Gyllenhall, it could be nonetheless worth the 9 bucks just to see NY & LA ripped apart by acts of God. Die modern world, die!
