That's b/c it's China, and it's only .00000001% of their population, like a tornado in Kansas killing 5 ppl, kinda/sorta...no? k...
Probablty also b/c the Chinese government is not overly anxious on handing out news of disasters, and SARS...

How about that earthquake, wiped out 90% of the buildings in Charleston, SC in the 1890's. All you hear about is the Great SF Earthquake, but nothing about the Charleston, SC one...
