I want to start playing EVE and Ill be opening an account soon. Ive seen the game at a friends house and it really looks fantastic. I plan to buy some ingame money ( its called ISK as far as Ive heard). How much ISK do you think should be enough for a new player? Thanks a bunch you guys!

You must be joking right? Or youre like 10 years old. Buying ISK for real money isnt legal. And not just that. What kind of question is: how much money is enough for a newbie? Enough for what? You should start playing the game like all other normal people. According to this question I wouldnt really say this game is for you btw.

5 million ISK is enough to get you started. it will get you an osprey and mine pretty fast.
or buy a destroyer and blast away through the level 1 missions

I'd say, later on, you would need about 500mill isk for raven and such, for mission running... in general most players have around 1-2b isk, and thats properly where you want to be, but for now, you can just buy ingame isk from GTC and its completely legit. you can generally at the moment get about 150mill for a 30days GTC = 15$

There is no such thing as enough ISK. But I guess for a new player 50 mill would be plenty as it would allow you get into a cruiser or BC easily, buy tons of skills and still have money to spare.

Hehe yeah it would. But you kinda have to get that first. Only guy i know having that kind of money is that goonie who ripped of his own alliance and stole a titan.

750bill isnt much..
Get some good faction fitted ships and you will drop 50 bill easy.. per ship say 10 bill get some imps for it to...
Then you will want your own little BPO shop 600bill will get you some nice T2 bpos and a pos network ...
Get a titan some motherships...
Its gone before you know it.

For a newbie - 200-500 mil ISK
For moderate pvper 2-3 bil
For capital ship pilot - 10-30 bil
For someone who'd like to pvp in whatever no thinking about it for a while - 100+ bil
