I have noticed that more and more I am seeing cars and boats and dirtbikes type things for sale in peoples yards. when i am at school people talk about not being able to find a job, when others mention they have one there are always two or three asking if they can get them a job (i am at university level)

i have been reading at http://recession.org and though we are not in an exact recession right now it is obvious that something is looming

gas prices are still double what they were three years ago and i just lost full time status at my job because instead of laying us off they are just moving us to 32 hours per week but with messed up days and schedule which is really screwing with my classes

so anyway how are you feeling this recession, i am afriad barack obama will become president and then we will be deeper in the hole becuase of free healthcare BUT if we would jujst stop these senseless wars and bring all of our troops home we could afford it all Question

i feel like a majority of our recession is bc other nations are p****d off that we keep sticking our nose into other nation's businesses.,..its not good for diplomacy, they feel resentment i guess....

also feel that bush was never an economically driven president.

obama....dunno really, but sure hopes he brings up the econ....another few years of this, and england will be able to BUY our nation =-p

Canada is doing better than the US as well, so we don't feel it as much. Personally I invested in the US stock market so I'm not feeling great atm Razz

It's not really bothering me, as I'm a student.

I live in England and I just noticed my parents buying TESCO Value products. Seems the recession is closer to me than I thought.

I moved to Florida from Maine at the end of October. Since I got here, I've been looking for a job. I've filled out about 40-50 applications since arriving, done follow-up calls, sent my resume to various places, and still haven't gotten a job. I've even applied to fast-food places :[

Well being in the military I have a steady paycheck and no worries about being laid off. Usually in a city that is being kept alive by a military base won't feel the effects of a recession.

Well it hasn't been easy for the people here either. Myself included in this...due to no viable builders needing my services.

Heh, 1/6 people in Kansas City, Missouri are on food stamps now. I'm unsure about the unemployment rate but it isn't looking good. BO is also trying to push out another nail in our coffin, er "stimulus package" and ninety percent of the first one has yet to be spent.

In all honesty, I wasn't feeling it at all really. I do not really spend much at all anyway, so I just literally havent spent more than 60 usd in the last 2 weeks. Well that is until I lost 80 USD to a scammer, lol, but that has nothing to do with the recession. A lot of people I know though can't send their children to school or anything anymore because of it though, which is pretty discomforting.
