I have this service that makes me able to call abroad cheap. Recently they decided they will send me my bills by email from now on. Great. No problem. If not for the fact that they still have my old email addy listed. Hence: not getting any bills

Ok, so I thought I could change that in a *minute*. Go to their site and update.

WRONG!

After getting several errors everytime I tried making an account for the site, I contacted the helpdesk. After a week (super fast customer service! <-- note sarcasm) they sent me a reply that the problems they had with logging in are fixed now.

Cool, no prob. I go back to the site and fill out a rather sizeable form with really strange lay out. You'd think a company that has decided to deal with their customers on the internet only from now on could at least get someone to build them a decent page with customer friendly tools, but that aside...

I fill out the form. Using a 9 character password. It returns me to an error page saying I have to use a 6/7 character pw. Gee, think you could've told me that before you wiped the WHOLE f*****g FORM?

Ok, so that's annoying but it's no biggie. I fill out the form again. Press enter. ERROR PAGE! I forgot a / between my birthdate. Form nazi's I tell you. Okay.... so 3rd times a charm right?

I fill out the form AGAIN. Press enter. The site tells me in bold letters:

"Your information are updated now automatically"

This makes me rest assured in the fact that Engrish is now everywhere. I can now sleep easy at night!

Ok, so I go back to the main page, and enter my username + pw in order to finally update my email addy.

What does it say:

"Acces denied. Fill out the correct username and password."

Heh. It's almost like the bad old days when the phone company was a monopoly, and their unofficial slogan was "We don't care. We don't have to" Smile

I've been fighting with the forms on the 3WK site today. I finally decided to break down and send them a "donation", so I could get the higher bandwidth music streams. They do have the best music on the net I think. First time I've ever used Paypal for anything. Actually I've almost used Paypal about five times, but I always get to their egregiously complex user agreement and chicken out. So I finally did it today, and Paypal sends an email saying my subscription has been sent, but of course I can't create an account on the 3wk website. It keeps bringing me to a box blaming Paypal for probably being slow and calling them "cheapskates" Smile I went through the same typing stuff in over and over because it wiped out the form every time I tried.

Then I tried the box that said "I forgot my password" to see if the account was maybe really created anyway, but it wouldn't allow me to type in my whole email address - you can't type in an email more than 20 characters long. Then I noticed that every time I tried to create an account, they were sending the username and password in the clear as part of the URL: eg http://www.3wk.com/signup.php?usename="username"&password="password". How nice...

I've sent them a slew of email over the last five hours and left one phone message and haven't gotten a response to any of them. Sometimes the web sucks.

Engrish bothers me because they can use:

a: CORRECT Dutch
or
b: CORRECT English

This is NEITHER. And that's annoying as f**k because it's both too easy not to.

Plus I speak & write better English then most English people I know, read & speak english about 90 % of my day, so I don't really consider myself foreign to the English language even if I am to the Englishspeaking countries. Dumb people, with dumb sites, who use incorrect english on an otherwise Dutch page ... yeah.. they BOTHER me on a day like today.

Daar heb ik al helemaal geen zin in. Kun je eerst twee uur aan de telefoon hangen en converseren via nummers met een computer. En als je al een echt mens aan de telefoon krijgt, dan is het natuurlijk weer een of andere idioot die niks weet en niks kan. No thx. Been there done that.

Als ik het zat word dan laat ik gewoon de postbank mijn automatische afschrijvingen terughalen, moet je dan kijken hoe snel ze contact met je opnemen. Mr. Green

I have in that already totally no sense. Can yourself first two hour at the telephone hang and converse via numbers with a computer. And when you already a real man at the telephone gets, than is it naturally again an or other idiot that nothing know and nothing can. No thx. Bone there don that.

I don't know how the "monopoly" phone service was, but I sure wouldn't miss the 10 phone calls a week I get trying to get me to switch companies if we went back to it. Razz
