like msn messenger.
I just like having pop up notifications of new mail. is this in the works?

That would be pimp, the email notification would rock.
But i have noticed several things about gmail, one being that it refreshes nicely. no lag at all.

What sucks about gmail is there is no pop3 access yet and the site uses HTTPS so I cant browse from my phone.

I prefer HushMessenger.
It ties in with your HushMail account and send's thing securely, unlike those other protocols.
That is, unless you like System Administrattors like me watching your conversations in real time
