Ah, its the same genre (online team based fps). The game is the sequel to BF1942/Vietnam (BFV wasn't the "true" sequel to BF1942 or so EA says!). Also BFV was made by a different team in DICE then the ones responsible for 1942/BF2(Trauma Studios[Desert Combat] is giving DICE a hand with BF2).
Videos are great tho, to bad gotta wait till sometime next spring to play it, hopefually Trauma will pump out the next DC .8 patch sometime soon with some new content (if you haven't played Desert Combat... go f*****g play it, its what BF2 is gonna be like but with better graphics =D)

The nice thing about BF2 is the ability to obtain rank and the commander/general mode to direct squadrons is gonna own. Also allowing for retainable weapons will add to the virtual penix factor. It's gonna be great fo sh0!

Altho lately it's been kinda off and on due to the highspeed connection, or lack thereof between moving from FL to VA.

Spring '05 is EA's word I think. The game is in like pre-alpha tho. I wouldn't expect it to hit store shelves till between late spring to mid summer ;p
