Ok... i'm 18 years old, fairly muscular arms and legs, my only problem is my really nice beer gut! i'm trying to get rid of it, and i really want to keep it off... i'm not dieting, mainly because that's temporary, and i would like permanent improval... i am willing to change my eating habits a little... forever... i've stopped drinking soda except when i go out to eat.. and have found that i can eat less, and feel satisfied..

i figure that i'll get to be more healthy over all if i start now, and try to watch my weight!

I've been thinking about doing an exercise regiment of say... 200 sit ups every morning.. i'd like to hear comments/criticisms, and maybe some thoughtful ideas... No, i'm not going on the atkin's diet, i'm looking for permanent change... and i like bread =p

I've started to work out again. I use to be in football and staying in shape wasn't hard. Now I have a small gut but my 6 pack is way gone.. The best thing I could say is go on a diet to where you DON"T drink any type of soda.. Cut low on the dairy products and munch high on the protein . Doing sit up where you have your legs laying down to the right , left , and up should be down daily ..

but really the best thing you can do is get into a gym. they got all the shit you need. Remember thoug, if you wanna loose yo gut , drink yo water ! Very Happy LOTS AND LOTS !!!!!!!

Stop drinking beer.. It's called a 'beer gut' for a reason.

Alcohol is -the- most calorie dense beverage which provides on average:

1 pint of beer 200 calories
1 shot of vodka 50 calories
1 glass of wine 120 calories

Other than that, lay off the carbs a bit. You have no idea how many people eat far too many carbs.

Oh, and there is that good ol' exercise thing.. Running first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is the BEST time for fat loss because your body goes straight to the stored fat, instead of towards freshly consumed carbs.

you dont have to diet. just eat a bit differently. change when you eat your carbs. do not eat pasta/potatos/cereal/rice/etc after lunch. but it's ok to eat any of these for breakfast/lunch. do this and it will help a TON. working out lifting or some sort of cardio will help a ton too.

just eat more vegateables,
you like bread, wheat bread only, the white stuff kills you
situps are good
crunches are ok but i would recommend situps or pikes ect
do them till they hurt, than do 50 more
hurt i mean bad, like cant stop, trust me
run a few miles 2 is fine, just to get your heart really goin and sweatin, dont drink gatorade, drink water, at every meal, milk isnt bad for ya but get skim and use it for breakfast and a glass for dinner

Swimming will make ya lose a shitload, i can eat anything i want when training(im in a college program) but im also doing 7 thousand yards a practice sometimes 2 times a day.

Swim about a mile, thats 66 laps in a short course 25 yard pool. Do that 3 time sa week youll be fine

just cut back on the really fatty stuff, eat stuff thats good too but in moderation, its easy
you like eggs? go egg whites
tase teh same, less shit

I've been working out 2-3 days a week doing upper body/lower body/abs. As for the gut going away after about 2 months I almost have the 6 pack going from abs 2 times a week and changing my eating habits. I stopped eating hamburgers and pizza (very difficult to give up but once you do, pizza looks a lot less appealing) and I almost never drink sodas (insanely hard to give up). I eat a lot of veggies with every dinner as often as possible etc. Also don't drink so often or if you're going to, do shots instead of beer. Or just eat less then drink, you get drunk faster Razz

Run a mile every morning. Do 50 situps/50 butterflies every day. Drink a LOT of water, and no soda. It will disappear.

how well do suppliments work for protein.. the only real meat I eat is chicken, dont eat eggs either.. are vitamins the only way to get protein aside from eating other stuff? or just eat chicken more often?

there's protein in tons of things. Nuts, milk, veggies, energy bars, hell even beer has protein. Veggies are a great source of protein BTW. Your body takes in a larger % that protein than say from chicken.

protein powder works ok.. tastes like ass though.

personally i dont have a problem not eatting cause i am really picky and really lazy, so if i dont have anything i like i just wont eat and am to lazy to order or go out and get it (how f*****g sad is it when your to lazy to order pizza?)

Oh ya and drink water.. like 3 liters at a time or until you feel like your going to shit your pants or throw up.. usually if you chug it its a mixture of both.

shit I roll a sixer with no dieting, no lifting, I do run alot and I drink an assload of soda. My secret is little debbies, mall pizza, and as much tail as you can get...make sure you're good enough to where she wants you on top but just lift her up while she's on top and it's a decent stomach workout too.
